[Tutorial] How to Purchase Jaejoong’s “I Will Protect You” on Soribada, MNET, and Naver Music

Jaejoong’s “I Will Protect You” will be available for purchase on online music stores starting midnight of August 10th KST, just one hour after Protect the Boss episode 3 finishes airing. Please help support and promote Jaejoong by purchasing his song legally.

Step 1: visit Soribada’s English site

Step 2: sign-up

Step 3: check confirmation e-mail

Step 4: fill in payment method

MNET Tutorial

*USE INTERNET EXPLORER* ~ FIRST, you’ll need to create an MNET account! Click here and follow these instructions:

*NOTE for Americans* It will redirect you to the MNET America homepage. Just click on the MNET Korea icon on the top right hand corner and proceed!

STEP 1: Click on the foreigner account box!

STEP 2: Agreements and etc

STEP 3: Create a username/password

STEP 3a: Get authentication number from email

The email should look like this and you should get it within seconds of clicking the “certification button”. It will contain your authentication number (has been erased from image). If you don’t see it in your inbox right away, check your spam folder!

STEP 4: Log in!

STEP 5: Obtain a Korean IP address so that you may purchase music cards

On the top of the IE window, click Tools → Internet Options → Connections → LAN Settings.

Tick on the option “Use a proxy server for your LAN”, then fill in the information:

Address: 220.118.19.148

Port: 8000

Click OK and you are now ready to buy songs from Mnet.

In order to know whether your IP has been changed successfully, go to http://www.google.com and you should be directed to Google Korea, like this:

STEP 6: Put money on your account!

Then it will ask you for your information:

After you press that pink button, a box will pop up that says “may take up to 4 minutes for your payment to process”.

A bunch of other pop up windows will pop up after this, you can just close them! Now you’re ready to buy!

STEP 7: Find the songs you want to purchase

STEP 8: Download MNET Quick Manager

This box will pop up. Just accept the plugin and let it install!

STEP 9: After it’s all installed…buy/download the song!

Check the box(es) of the song(s) that you want to purchase, make sure you select the folder you want it to DL to on the right, and select the bit rate (file quality; 320 recommended!) you’d like to download in. And then click the pink arrow at the top

Disregard the songs listed. Make sure the first box on the right hand side is selected and then hit DL! Your song should DL right away, you’ll see a pink status bar next to the song. Should take less than a minute to DL!

Go find it in the folder you downloaded it to and….. ENJOY!

Download this pdf tutorial from Mediafire (Password: princejj) and follow the simple and illustrated instructions. Naver Music also restricts those living outside of Korea from purchasing their music so you might also want to refer to STEP 5 of Mnet tutorial to learn how to obtain a Korean IP proxy.

    Soribada replied that Junsu OST is only available in Soribada korea site and not available in english site….their crap reasoning is due to licensing issue….so I think Jaejoong OST will not applicable in their English site….T___T

      We’re hoping JJ’s OST will be available at Soribada. The other two Protect the Boss OST by Lyn and A-Pink are available at Soribada English Site ~

    I got everything but except for 2nd part of Step6, I chose 3,000 or 5,000 and then click the card w/global, but the ie tab automatically closed

    hello everyone,
    First, I’m so glad that I managed to purchase Jaejoong’s songs on Mnet thanks to Teamjaejoong’s sharing tips.
    Since I also met some troubles like many of you, I wanna share my experience ^^
    My trouble got stuck at step 6: put money on my account, after box 1 pop up, box 2 doesn’t show up, the page keeps loading loading …
    I got an advice from a friend , she said need to have this korean IP address only while you’re charging your account with money.
    So , after log in, change your IP into Korea IP as step 5 , then step 6, when box 1 pop up, switch back Korea IP to origin [ by un-tick the line: Use a proxy server for your Lan (These setting will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections) ], then continue step 6 as guiding above.

    The thing with Mnet is that the website has changed and now If you want to put money you need to buy a cupon,and for that you will need a Korean Security Society Number, Yeah they’re just stupid assholes. Gonna try with Naver
